When will I receive the contributions from my guests?

This depends on which contribution method you choose. For credit card contributions, your first payout is held for 10-14 days to clear, and then all subsequent payments can be sent as soon as 7 days. Most couples opt for two payouts - one before the wedding and another one after. No matter which method you choose, we'll always notify you by email when a guest contributes to a gift.

How is Hitchd different from other registries?

Other registries focus on traditional gifts, partnerships with vendors, and upselling couples or guests. Hitchd has one vision in mind, provide couples and guests with a world-class experience and focus on creating memories over material gifts.

Is there a transaction fee?

Hitchd offers its own credit card processing solution with a blended rate that ensures your guests don't need to pay any conversion fees or international credit card rates - one flat fee for everyone, everywhere. You have complete control over the fee structure - you can pay 0% by having your guests absorb the fee, 1.97% by splitting it with your guests, or 3.94% by absorbing it entirely yourself.

Will my guests think it's tacky?

Times have changed. Contributing to your honeymoon fund makes guests feel like they're contributing to something meaningful, and guests can even personalize their cash contribution with a personalized message to wish you on your way.

Who can contribute to my registry?

Anyone who you share your registry with who has a valid Visa or Mastercard. If you're using Stripe to accept credit cards via Hitchd, and you have international guests, their contributions will automatically be converted to the currency of your registry.

What currency are gifts charged?

We support most major international currencies, with more added regularly. You can set the currency of your registry before publishing it live.
